The Tobacco Free Healthy Schools is a program funded by the NYS Bureau of Tobacco Use Prevention and Control to assist schools in developing and enforcing a comprehensive tobacco free policy.  School Outreach Specialists are available to provide schools with resources and technical assistance. THERE IS NO COST TO SCHOOLS.

Schools play a key role in creating attitude and behavioral change among students, their families and in the community. A tobacco free environment contributes significantly to preventing first use of tobacco or interrupting habituated use among youth.
